Pauline Gaddy Cash was born September 26, 1924 in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late James Edward Gaddy and Winnie Jane Spencer Gaddy. She departed this life June 19, 2010 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center in Harve de Grace, Maryland.

She was united in holy matrimony to the late Lonnie Cash on April 26, 1942. From this union daughter Bernice was born.

She was employed by the VA Medical Center as a Nurses Technician and later retired after 46 years of service. Pauline was a member of the Eastern Stars of Joppa, MD and First Baptist Church of Cokesbury, MD. She loved antiques and gardening.

Pauline leaves to cherish her memory; a loving daughter Bernice Griffin, of Newark, DE; two grandchildren Regina Griffin, of Washington, DC and Michael Griffin of Upper Marlboro, MD., Michael's wife Malissa Griffin and great-granddaughter Sydney Griffin. She is also survived by her loving siblings and their spouses, Lorraine G. Malloy of Harve de Grace, MD, Rutha M. Taylor of Harve de Grace, MD, Dorothy L. and Perry Lewis, of Chester, PA, Conway Gaddy of Port Deposit, MD, Zeford and Monolyn Gaddy of Port Deposit, MD, Roosevelt and Philistine Gaddy of Philadelphia, PA, William H. and Louise Gaddy of St. Louis, MO and Clarence Wise of Phoenix, AZ as well as a host nieces and nephews and numerous other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Cash, her father James E. Gaddy, her mother Winne J. Gaddy and son-in-law James E. Griffin, Jr.

A visitation will take place Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 196 Main Street, Port Deposit, Maryland. Funeral service will follow starting at 12 noon at the church. Burial will be in Berkley Cemetery, Darlington, Maryland.
