Ralph L. Biddle, of Smyrna, passed away on May 24, 2010. He was 85.

He was born May 20, 1925 to the late James and Mamie (Savin) Biddle.

Mr. Biddle worked for Tyler Refrigeration in Smyrna before retiring after 30 years of service. He enjoyed rabbit hunting, raising and training beagles, and was a member of several beagle clubs.

He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Clough Biddle; a son, John L. Biddle; brothers, James, George, Carroll, Charles, Dallas, and Donald Biddle; sisters Etta Governale and Helen Cannon; and a nephew raised like a brother, John Furrow.

He is survived by his daughter-in-law Shirley (Bonny) P. Biddle, of Smyrna; his sister-in-law Shirley D. Biddle, of Dover; his niece Phyllis Richardson, of Middletown; and numerous other in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held 11:00 AM Friday May 28 at Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home, 123 W. Commerce St., Smyrna, where friends may call at 10:00 AM. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 22 N. Union St., Smyrna, DE 19977.
