Joseph J. Bacsak, Jr. of Selbyville, DE, died Friday, May 22, 2010, at his home. He was 81 years old.

Born in Denton, MD on August 27, 1928, Mr. Bacsak was the son of the late Joseph John Bacsak, Sr. and Anna Yankuri Bacsak.

Mr. Bacsak had lived in Selbyville since 1980. He had worked for Harwood Mills, was a cleaner, and did yard work. He always enjoyed his friends and was known to many of them as “Pop”. He was a member of the Harrington, DE Moose Lodge # 534.

Mr. Bacsak is survived by his sister, Helen M. Conard of Denton and a friend, Peggy Corkell, of Denton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Verna Anna Bacsak.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Tuesday, May 25th, at the St. Elizabeth’s Roman Catholic Church on First Street in Denton. Friends may call from 7 until 8 on Monday evening and from 10 AM until 10:45 before the service at the Moore Funeral Home, P.A., 12 S. Second Street in Denton. The burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, 11850 Greensboro Road, Greensboro, MD.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests for friends to send memorial donations to the Denton Volunteer Fire Company, 400 South Fifth Ave., Denton, MD 21629.
